Peter Arrowsmith

Peter Arrowsmith has been a SCORE counselor since 1998. During that time he has consulted with several hundred small businesses in Savannah including a horse drawn carriage and touring company, a local retailer specializing in antiques and artifacts, local architectural and engineering firms, a dinner theater, a miniature golf course, a direct selling company, retailers of industrial parts and services, commercial artists, software developers, and a number of consulting, service and construction companies.

His professional career started in the navy nuclear submarine program. After leaving the navy, he joined a 10 person consulting firm that specialized in providing professional consulting services to nuclear energy and weapons facilities. During his career the firm increased its capabilities to include a wide range of services including software and hardware development, consulting engineering, environmental assessment and remediation design, and laboratory management  for both domestic and international clients. When he retired as president, the firm had expanded to over 3,000 employees.

He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Kansas and from the Wharton School's advanced management program. Prior to retiring, he was a registered professional engineer in 15 states.
