
Bob Meng retired in 2008 and relocated to Savannah after 40+ years in business. Following graduation from Ohio Northern University with a degree in engineering, Bob joined Caterpillar Inc. During his career he held a variety of assignment in sales/marketing; product development; strategy & planning and plant operations management. Bob lived and worked internationally including Europe, Africa/M.E. and Asia. A big part of Bob’s career included consulting engagements with technology partners, suppliers, distributors and customers. In his last assignment, Bob was president of a global business unit that more than doubled highly profitable sales in just five years.
Bob has been a SCORE counselor since 2009. He has helped a wide variety of clients including start-ups, existing business entities and non-profit organizations. Bob is very passionate about helping clients succeed whether they are just starting or are already in business trying to increase sales, find new marketing techniques, increase market share, lower costs, improve processes/quality or develop people.
Bob serves on the Savannah Board for Georgia Junior Achievement and is a class volunteer teacher. He also is on the Advisory Board for Savannah State’s College of Business Administration.
